Natural asphalt in dry granulate form
Basic informations
- In mastic asphalts significantly increases stiffness while maintaining excellent workability.
- In common asphalt mixtures this slows down the aging process and prolongs the service life of road.
- Can also be used in mixtures with high stiffness modulus (VMT).
- Its addition decreases penetration and increases softening point of asphalt binder.
- Improves resistance to permanent deformation, stiffness modulus and resistance to fatigue.
- Completely recyclable natural product.
Benefits and use
- Is used for traffic lanes designated for heavy freight traffic.
- Costly storage tanks with forced mixing are not needed to preserve the binder.
- During prolonged storage, the properties of the binder remain the same.
- The additive is always available at the plant, there is no need to order a full tank of binder for smaller orders.
Dosage
- 5 % to 15 % by weight of the binder, depending on the type of asphalt mix. The dosing is done in the hopper in the classic way as for other granulates or by direct loading of disposable PE packs into the mixing equipment of the plant.
